Singapore Lottery System Provider Signs Deal With Singapore Pools

In the last financial year, the Singapore Pools – Tote Board recorded an increase in betting, from SGD 6.6 billion to SGD 9.2 billion. Betting on sports and lotteries was also up.

Several lucky punters were able to strike it rich. Two men shared $10 million in January 2022, and another won $5.68 million in November.

The Singapore lottery is held by Singapore Pools (Private) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tote Board. The only legal company to run the lottery, it provides a legal route to gamble.

IGT Global Services has signed a six-year contract with Singapore Pools to provide its lottery system. Through the Aurora central system, IGT will be able to support a large number of transactions on a daily basis.

A spokesman for the Tote Board said that the amount bet on the lotteries and sports in the previous year increased after the country relaxed Covid-19 restrictions.
